Bus & Train Spectacular 2022

Heritage Bus Rally – Saturday 7th May 2022
Quorn & Woodhouse Station
(in conjunction with the Great Central Railway)

Featuring:

Free bus rides on a variety of urban and rural routes (including to and from Loughborough Central (GCR) and Loughborough Midland (EMR) stations). New routes added for this year’s event.

Enhanced train service with steam and diesel locomotives and diesel railcar

Short-hop train fares available, enabling you to travel between Quorn and Loughborough one way by free heritage bus and one way by steam or diesel train

Transport sales stands inside the marquee at Quorn and in the station yard.

Vehicle displays and large bus parking area

Large Car Park in adjacent field (charge payable). Limited disabled parking for blue badge holders in the station yard.

Programmes for the event will be available to purchase on the day, with full timetables, at all GCR station booking offices and in the station yard. Please support the event by buying a programme.

Fares

Normal train fares apply at this event, except that HRA passes are not valid today. Short-hop train fares are available, enabling you to travel between Quorn and Loughborough one way by free heritage bus and one way by steam or diesel train. Entry to the site at Quorn is free.

Entry to the event at Quorn & Woodhouse is free.

Locomotives

Two steam locomotives and one diesel loco, plus the diesel railcar, are due to be in action during the Heritage Bus Rally.

Transport to and from the event

For those coming by train to Loughborough Midland (EMR) station, free heritage buses will run to the event at Quorn & Woodhouse Station. Times will be posted here nearer the event.

For those coming by car, parking will be available in the field adjacent to Quorn & Woodhouse station; a parking fee will be payable at the station booking office. Limited parking for disabled will be available in the station yard.

Centrebus service 154 (Leicester – Anstey – Woodhouse – Loughborough) stops on Chaveney Road, just round the corner from Quorn station driveway. Details here free to u
