FIRST LEICESTER BUS CELEBRATIONS 1924 – 2014

To celebrate 90 Years of Motorbuses in Leicester 1924-2014 there will be an exhibition in the Pedestrian Gallery (LCB depot) 31 Rutland Street LE1 1RE, Leicester, from 22nd – 28th July 2014.

Thursday 24th July 2014 11:30am – Two First Leicester buses specially painted in iconic Leicester liveries depart from the Town Hall Sq on the original 1924 route to Evington Lane (St.Philips Church). Hopefully these will be supported by a pair of heritage buses provided by the Leicester Transport Heritage Trust.

7th September 2014 – Open day at the Abbey Lane depot in association with LTHT Bus Running Day which takes place on the same day at the Abbey Pumping Station/National Space Centre.
