GRY 57D ex Leicester Bus in a new role.

Novel conversion of an old ex Leicester City Transport bus. GRY 57D, a 1966 Park Royal bodied, Leyland Titan PD3, received a radical rebuild in 2006 for it’s new role as a promotional vehicle for BMW Mini. The bus after service on the streets of Leicester spent a number of years in the London area being used as a mobile catering unit. It then found new owners with BMW and was sent to London Bus of Lydney for the major conversion work, which included a new lifting roof.

Below are links to You Tube relating to the Conversion work undertaken by the London Bus Export  and a second video of GRY 57D on the BMW Mini Urban Tour of Europe, launched by Boy George.

Transport Heritage Trust would like to hear of any recent sightings of GRY 57D. Is it’s still on tour with BMW?
