LEYLAND TIGER CUB OJF 191

1956 Leyland Tiger Cub, OJF 191 the oldest surviving single deck bus new to Leicester City Transport has moved from it’s long standing storage site in Ibstock to a new site in Staffordshire, where restoration will be begin with the hope for completion in 2016.

It is nice to report after arrival at it’s new location that Diesel was added to the tank and the Leyland engine was started for the first time in 37 years!!

So plenty of time and finance will be needed to complete the restoration of this important piece of Leicester Transport History and the LTHT will be glad to hear from anyone who would like to support or sponser the ongoing work on Leyland Tiger Cub 191.
