Leyland Titan PD1 DJF 349

Nathaniel Parker has supplied some photos of the on-going restoration of ex Leicester City Transport, Leyland Titan PD1, DJF 349, which is taking place at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, Ruddington. The bus had been new to LCT in 1947 and was generally used all over the Leicester route network. In 1969 the bus passed to the famous Nottingham independent operator Barton Transport. After being rescued from a Nottinghamshire airfield the bus was stored for many years before it was brought to the Ruddington Heritage Centre. The bus was then sent to Yeates of Loughborough where restoration began before it returned to the centre for further work to be carried out by the Nottingham Area Bus Society.
