We are saddened to have to announce the recent death of Leicester tram expert Peter Mullahy. Peter was well known to many people in and around Leicester and he gave regular talks about Leicester’s trams.
During his life Peter amassed a large collection of tram photographs and tramway ephemera and memorbilia. He also engaged with many former Leicester tramway employees and used many of their anecdotes to make his talks both entertaining and amusing.
Our thoughts are with Peter’s family and friends during this sad time.
Peter’s funeral service will be held at the Most Blessed Sacrament R C Church, Gooding Avenue, on Friday 5th July at 11am, followed by burial at Saffron Hill Cemetery at 12.30pm.
