Well, another very popular and successful day at the Quorn & Woodhouse Station, Road & Rail Event. In partnership with the Great Central Railway, this was the second event staged with the Leicester Transport Heritage Trust. The event provided visitors the chance to take to ride out on a number of vintage buses and coaches which connected with the Great Central and Midland Stations at Loughborough, passengers could then alight and make a return journey to Quorn on the rail service provided by the GCR or travel back to Quorn on another vintage bus.
The LTHT and GCR would like to thank all those visitors who made the day a success with many of the buses carrying full loads between Quorn and Loughborough and on the more scenic Charnwood tour. Also a big thank you to the volunteers from both the LTHT and GCR and the stall holders who had to contend with a rather dusty wind and the vehicle owners who provided their buses and coaches for the free bus services.
