GCR – Loughborough Bus Shuttle

Loughborough Bus Shuttle

Leicester Transport Heritage Trust will be running free heritage shuttle buses between Loughborough Midland (EMR) station and Loughborough Central Station on Friday 30 September between 0930 and 1830.

Friday 30th September 2022

From Loughborough Midland (EMR station) at:

0937, 1010, 1040, 1105, 1140, 1205, 1245, 1305, 1340, 1410, 1440,1500, 1530, 1545, 1630, 1718, 1800

Journey time: approx. 10 minutes

From Loughborough Central (GCR station) at:

0955, 1025, 1055, 1120, 1155, 1225, 1300, 1320, 1355, 1428, 1500, 1525, 1555, 1610, 1700, 1745, 1820**

**In the event of late running on the GCR, the 1820 will wait for a maximum of 20 minutes (for the train due at 1815), but it will not be possible to hold the connection for longer than this.

Journey time: approx. 12 minutes

 

Saturday 1^st October 2022

From Loughborough Midland (EMR station) at:

0905, 0940, 1005, 1100, 1205, 1440, 1540, 1620, 1700 Journey time: approx. 10 minutes

From Loughborough Central (GCR station) at:

0920, 0955, 1020, 1115, 1155, 1215, 1425, 1510, 1605*, 1635*, 1725* Journey time: approx. 12 minutes

Please note that there is a National rail strike on Saturday, with limited EMR trains running. The last trains of the day from Loughborough Midland (EMR) are advertised to be 1646 to Sheffield, 1653 to London, 1746 to Derby, 1758 to Leicester, 1803 to Nottingham.  Please check up-to-date information on National Rail and East Midlands Railway websites.

*In order to maintain connections into last mainline trains, Saturday afternoon buses will NOT be held for late-running GCR trains 

 

There will be no shuttle buses on either Thursday 29 September or Sunday 2 October.
